3D Printing Dog LLC – Dogs, Drones & 3D Printing. We are a digital design studio specializing in emerging technologies, which includes 3D Printing and Drones. Oh, and we have a little rescue dog named Miracle. Established in 2014 as a Pennsylvania limited liability company, we are located in the City of Philadelphia. All of our products may be purchased at our shop at Etsy or at Shapeways. Despite our name, we do not actually offer 3D printing services. Instead, we focus on generating our own designs and rely on third parties to do the actual printing. If you have your own design and you’re looking for a printer, you can check out 3D Hubs (we are not affiliated with them).

Dave Kim – Owner/Designer/Drone Pilot. Dave started the company as a vehicle to explore the imaginative space at the intersection of art and engineering. He started his career as an architect, but switched to finance where he had the privilege of serving small businesses and mid-sized companies, as well as large, multi-national corporations. Emerging 3D printing technology presented him with a pathway back to a more creative field. In addition, recent changes in federal regulations created an opportunity to enter the evolving field of drone videography. He is a licensed commercial drone pilot. View his LinkedIn profile here.

Miracle – 3D Printing Dog & Chief Creative Officer. Miracle was a stray dog in Philadelphia when he was hit by a car. When the local animal control team found him, they didn’t think he would survive. When he made a surprising recovery, his caretakers named him Miracle and put him up for adoption. He was eventually rescued by the local no-kill shelter, PAWS, who introduced him to his new forever home. In addition to being the 3D Printing Dog, he is also a certified therapy dog. He’s a member of the non-profit PAWS for People and can be found volunteering as a reading therapy dog at the local library. A portion of every sale is donated to PAWS and to PAWS for People. When he’s not chasing squirrels, he enjoys 3D CAD modeling, primarily using ZBrush and Solidworks.

Mike Vad – Intern & Social Media Maven. Mike does everything else that’s needed to keep the place running. He’s a self-taught digital artist whose skills include traditional graphic design, illustration and web design. In addition, he’s into anything with a digital camera, including DSLRs, smartphones, GoPros, digiscopes and drones. He’s still on the fence when it comes to virtual reality gear, but he will be playing with 360 degree video in 2017. When he’s not working, he’s sleeping.
